Sallie Layton Douglas was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She is a Registered Nurse, holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and has been employed in both fields. After working for Hewlett Packard for numerous years, Sallie currently owns her own business as a professional advocate for seniors. She has served as the RN on several Son Servants mission trips to Mexico with Youth Conference Ministries and was a counselor with FPCO’s Student Ministry. She attends the BASICs Sunday school class and takes part in a bible study group. Being a member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando for over fifty years, Sallie enjoys serving on the Usher and Deacon ministry teams. She established “The Frances and Russell Douglas Freedom Fund” and “Mary’s Fund” with the Heart of the City Foundation and joined the Board of Trustees in 2016.
